FWP Seeking Applicants for Region 6 Citizens Advisory Council
GLASGOW, Mont. - Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is seeking applicants to fill four volunteer positions on the Region 6 Citizen Advisory Council (CAC).
The advisory council meets three times a year in the Glasgow area and provides input and guidance to FWP on a diverse array of issues -- from wildlife and fisheries management to access, outdoor recreation and law enforcement. Members can serve for up to two consecutive, three-year terms, and meals and travel expenses are provided.
Applicants are being sought to fill vacancies created by longtime members Dustin Hill of Scobey, Tom Burch of Fort Peck, Darlyne Dascher of Fort Peck and Fran Buell of Gildford completing their terms. While applicants will be considered from across FWP Region 6, residents of these communities are encouraged to apply.
Applicants will be asked to provide an overview of their interests and involvement in natural resource issues and to write a few sentences on why they are interested in serving on the CAC.
To obtain an application, call FWP at (406) 228-3700, email Judy Elletson at firstname.lastname@example.org, or stop by the Region 6 office at 54078 U.S. Highway 2 West in Glasgow. Completed applications must be received by Aug. 30. Successful applicants should be prepared to attend their first meeting on Oct. 11
