Walleye Spawn Diary Mike Ruggles, fisheries biologist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks at Fort Peck, is sending us a daily diary of the 2006 Fort Peck Walleye Spawn to keep us up to date on how the egg-take is coming along. This annual egg-take provides all the walleye fingerlings and fry that are stocked in the waters of Montana from the the new Fort Peck Fish Hatchery and the Miles City Fish Hatchery. If you're interested in spending a day, two or three as a volunteer on the Walleye Spawn in 2006, call the Fort Peck fisheries office at (406) 526-3471 or the Glasgow regional office at (406) 228-3700.
