Walleye Camp 2006 at Tiber

Another Camp Walleye came off without a snag as 46 kids, 6 chaperones and 23 donated boats from the local Great Falls Walleyes Unlimited Chapter, and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the North Middle School Fishing Club took to the water at Tiber Reservoir on the weekend of Aug. 19-20, 2006.

FISH CAUGHT:

100 walleye - Biggest 27 inches, 8.5 pounds (WOW! What a fish!)
58 northern pike - Biggest 36 inches, 9.5 pounds
3 trout - Biggest 20 inches and first documented Lake trout for the camp
167 perch - Biggest 12 inches and several in the 10-to-12-inch range
3 carp - Biggest was 13 pounds.

It was a great camp with only two kids who didn't catch fish. With boat captains, kids and over 20 volunteers, this camp brings the fishing community together. -- Pat Volkmar
