Walleyes Forever

2007 Friendship House
kids fishing days

Walleyes Forever helped the kids at Friendship House in Billings learn all about fishing on July 17, 19 and 20. Two of the sessions were at Friendship House, near South Park, where kids first learned about fish, fishing, fishing gear and knot tying, then got some casting lessons. The final session was at Lake Elmo where the kids got a chance to try out those skills.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks lended support with loaner fishing rods, staff support, and a free fishing day. The kids caught and released 11 sunfish, drank pop, ate snacks and went home with a goodie bag of assorted items.

Walleyes Forever members Douglas Jordan, Dalton Reichert, Bob Kraeger, Barry Helmbrecht, Scott Helmbrecht and Carol and Mark Henckel provided the Walleyes Forever support and lent their talents to helping the kids have a good time.
