The Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival will be held June 28-29, 2008 on Canyon Ferry Reservoir out of the Silos Recreation Area. Fishing will start at 6 a.m. each day. The Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival is limited to 150 two-person teams. First place is worth $10,000, with a bonus of $2,000 if the team tops the 2006 winning weight. If a new state record walleye is caught during the tourney, that lucky entrant will get a new Ford truck. Team members must be current members of Walleyes Unlimited of Montana.
